Five Best Android Phones: 2013 Edition

Well, there you have it. If you’re in the market for a high-end Android phone and don’t know where to start, start with this list. The S4 and the One were expected, but the Galaxy Nexus’ spot on this list was a little bit of a surprise given its age.

I really like her voice. It reminds me of this other Asian artist whose name I can’t think of at the moment… however, her acting is complete garbage, which is why I’m linking to Soundcloud and not the music video on Youtube. It’s like all her sass was spent on the vocals.

The Force must be trying to tell me to disconnect from the internet because my internet connection at home has been so unstable that I’ve had to resort to using my tablet’s data connection to watch anime. Why not my phone? Because Sprint’s data connection sucks as well. I have FINALLY made up my mind to leave their POS network for T-mobile when my contract is up in May. GOOD RIDDANCE!

Weekend in a nutshell.

The trip to LA was fun. The sleep deficit compounded from finals week + this weekend was not. Really enjoyed hanging out with my friends. LA is fun to go to every year or so for a short vacation, but I would never want to move to SoCal. I’m also sad to say that GAMeBoi LA has also dropped from (my) favor. What used to be a fun club with cute guys and great music has turned into a congregation for trashy, inconsiderate Asians and miscellaneous unattractive patrons. The only good part was their new “EDM hour” from 1-2am. <3 Kevin! It’s too bad I was so exhausted from the drive down that I was virtually asleep by then. There are also other reasons why I’m choosing to no longer go to GAMeBoi but I’m not going to delve into that here. On the other hand, Saturday night at The Abbey and Eleven was also fun. I especially liked Eleven because there was no cover all night, no line, good music, and it wasn’t packed like the Abbey was or full of ______ people like GAMeBoi was. I just wish I wasn’t so tired during the entire trip =/

Good news: I’ve found an alternative! Aside from the web interface, Feedly also has a pretty android app for my phone and tablet =]

Bummer.

I was so excited to book a family vacation to Cancun until I read the fine print on Priceline:

All rooms are booked for double occupancy (i.e. 2 adults) and accommodations for more than two adults are not guaranteed… Up to two older children or adults are charged 70 % of the room stay per night per person when using existing beds.

And with that, it went from good deal to bad deal. Oh well. Maybe we’ll find some good last-minute deals.
